- For every lovely meal you bought us while you were here;
- For every fast-food meal, too;
- For babysitting every day for 8 days, and 1 night! An enormous gift to us;
- For staying up late to watch silly BravoTV shows (the best!) with us;
- For making Publix runs to get dinner, or more chocolate milk, or Pop-Tarts;
- For telling us again that we made a good investment when we bought our modest little home;
- For driving the Highlander safely and carefully with our precious cargo;
- For treating us to the wonderful local Science museum;
- For new school shoes a-plenty;
- For watching baseball together, Dad -- I really enjoyed that last night;
- For laughter and eye-opening conversations;
- For hugs and kisses (not the kids -- ME! I needed every one of 'em!);
- Most of all, for enduring, even when the kids were acting LIKE THEY NEEDED TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL, and for assuring me that this, too, shall pass... and that we're doing an okay job at this parenting thing;
- And for Washing the Sheets!! Such GOOD MANNERS.
I thank you with all my heart.
