Dudes, I finally got gods in Alabama after Barnes & Noble made me wait and wait for it, argh. Last night I read about 65 pages in about 10 minutes. Okay, maybe not that fast, but it felt that fast. Compelling! Interesting! Funny! I think I'm in love.
My husband says to me the other night, "I hardly ever see you reading anymore." Well, that is because it has been a super-long time since I've read a GOOD book. Our last book club selection was Cloud Atlas. It was difficult and boring. Before that, Good Wives, a women's studies dissertation project, I think. Interesting, but difficult, and also boring. Not that we aren't intelligent people -- we are. But we sometimes need to read for pleasure. I think this one's going to be just the ticket. Yay. :)
